School Cancelled February 24th: The Good News and the Bad News

Pope High School will not open today, February 24th.

Good News:  We will not fall behind in class as you can easily do part 3 of our lab at home. Click HERE for part 3.  When prompted to do a Java update, DON’T DO IT, otherwise you may not be able to access the Ecuador maps.

Bad News: Global Connections Night has been postponed.  Stay tuned for more information regarding rescheduling.

Extra Credit Opportunities:

  1. Global Connections Night – If you attend Global Connections night on February 24th (Next Tuesday) from 7:00-8:30pm and KEEP YOUR PROGRAM from the event, you will be eligible for extra credit. After the event, you will pretend as though you are a journalist and will write a “newspaper article” about the event. You will turn in this writing assignment in addition to the program. This will be an additional lab grade in the gradebook.
  2. Extra Credit- King Corn (10 points) – Please watch the video. Although it says that “due to privacy settings the video cannot be played here,” just click on the “watch on vimeo” link and it will take you to the video. Complete the assignment below and this will add an additional 10 points to your most recent FRQ grade.
